Almost forty, in my eighteenth year of teaching and I am just about to start working towards a Masters. Yes, I am still working full time. Yes, I am still a single parent. And yes, I must be crazy. However, when a golden opportunity is presented to you it is very hard to look away. Apart from that fact that Technology in Education is a subject that I am EXTREMELY interested in and very passionate about, the course is being run at school by a member of staff and the school is funding part of it.
I have just signed up for a SUNY CET (that’s State University of New York Certificate of Educational Technologies). The course (when completed in about two years time) will put me halfway towards a Master of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies. I’ll find out what that means later. I don’t start until January but those of you that know me will understand my need to be prepared and organised. Hence this blog. A place where I plan to reflect and comment on my learning.
I’ve also just got my Twitter account properly activated and linked to Tweetdeck. And so the adventure begins…
