Keep on Learning…

The Elementary School Musical is coming to a close. My world has been dominated by this, and a few other projects (one still ongoing!), since August. I know that, come next week, I will have a little ‘extra’ time in the evenings. Not content to rest on my laurels, I started thinking about ‘what next?‘.

So I’ve just registered for another Harvard course. Leaders of Learning was recommended to me by an educator I trust and respect and, after reading the course description, sounded like something that would suit me.

I’ve only just started watching the introductory videos, but what is already resonating with me is the idea of choice. The professor, Richard Elmore, states:

“People who are interested in leading learning, and in designing learning environments, will have to focus much more on choice.”

I already like the idea that I am going to make active, personal choices about where I’m going to lead and how I’m going to lead.
