#IMMOOC

Well, I’ve signed up for my first MOOC!! If you don’t know what a MOOC is, go here. A colleague put me onto this MOOC – a six-week course focused on the George Couros book “The Innovator’s Mindset“.

I immediately wanted to join, even though I told myself “NO STUDY” for the next six months!! I’ve just moved school, city, and continent… so I have a fair bit going on right now! Entering my 23rd year of teaching and I just can’t seem to stop trying to learn more.

I bought this book on Kindle over the summer and never got to it. So how perfect an opportunity is it to read it and then discuss the topics with hundreds (maybe thousands??) of other people?!?! I could not pass up this opportunity. Plus it will hopefully get me back into blogging, which I feel I have been neglecting lately.

I’ve signed up. I’m using the Twitter hashtag #IMMOOC. I’m on the Facebook group. I’ve also just got set up on inoreader. I know me, and I know I’m going to be spending hours on this. Somehow!

Can’t wait to innovate…
