A new way of learning

A new way of learning… for me, at least. Online conferencing. On Tuesday I joined my first online conference. I have keynote speakers to listen to and virtual workshops to attend. Awesome.

I am also doing a whole heap of reading (online of course!). I’m continuing to use Twitter (through TweetDeck) and I now completely believe in it as a valuable tool for professional learning. I’m continuing to use Diigo and I love the way I can instantly bookmark, highlight and sticky note for future reference. I’m watching a lot of inspiring TED talks. I’m doing my best to keep up with my Feedly page and reading articles that stand out as being relevant and interesting to me (there is no way I can read them ALL).

Things still to work on. I’m trying to write on here as much as possible. I still haven’t started working with VoiceThread. I’m just trying to think of an authentic way I can use it to enhance learning in my classroom before I make a start on it. Loads more learning to do. Awesome.
